Dr. Jim Dill Appointed to National Mental Health Board

Dr. Jim Dill, Executive Director of the Alabama Council of Community Mental Health Boards(Nov. 8, 2007) -- Dr. Jim Dill serves on the Washington, D.C. based National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare Board of Directors where he serves as the Vice-Chair of the National Council Public Policy Committee. Dr. Jim Dill is presently the Executive Director of the Alabama Council of Community Mental Health Boards. The Alabama Council of Community Mental Health Boards represent 30 community mental health and substance abuse agencies located throughout of the state of Alabama.

"The National Council plays a critical leadership role in building healthy minds and strong communities across the nation and I'm honored to guide this effort as a board member," said Dr. Dill.

The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare is a not-for-profit association of 1,300 behavioral healthcare organizations that provide treatment and rehabilitation for mental illnesses and addiction disorders to nearly six million adults, children, and families in communities across the country. Board members lead the organization in promoting recovery from mental illness and addictions through public policy advocacy, leadership and workforce development, and organizational and practice improvement.
